New Laptop Stand from Ergotron for Comfortable Laptop Use
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 21:44Laptops are great tools for business users and students on the go, but they’re from an ergonomic standpoint they’re badly designed. They lead us to hunch over, push our necks forward and squint at the screen till we look a little too much like Quasimodo…
but there are solutions! One is to use a notebook stand and an external keyboard, like this new one from Ergotron:
The Neo-Flex stand is based on Ergotron’s Notebook/Projector Lift Stand, and features height adjustment, a six-inch range of motion, and can hold up to 25 pounds.
The Wireless Keyboard and Mouse use a USB-based 2.4 GHz transceiver for an operational range over 30 feet; the keyboard features four programmable hot keys and the mouse offers a 1,000 dpi resolution. Combined, however, they run off four AAA batteries.
Of course there are plenty of other brands and models of laptop stands out there too — check out some of the ones listed at Google to find out about the range and features available.
